Variable frequency drive daily maintenance
For variable frequency drive in continuous operation, we take an external visual inspection for the VFD running state. Regular inspect variable frequency drive to see if there is running anomalies or not, we have following methods:
1) Ambient temperature is normal or not, VFD requires running within -10 ℃ ~ +40 ℃ range, around 25 ℃ is better;
2) The current, voltage, frequency and other data show on the VFD display panel is normal or not;
3) The characters on display panel is clear or not, is it loss characters;
4) Detect the variable frequency drive with a thermometer to see overheating or not;
5) The VFD fan is running properly or not, and cooling channel is free or not;
6) Is there alarm display or not during VFD operation;
7) Check AC input voltage exceeds the maximum allowed value or not., if the main circuit plus input voltage exceeds the limitation, it will damage the variable frequency drive circuit board even if the drive does not run.
